Ben's Top 5 Fave SciFi Movies of All Time

I had a chitchat with Ben and asked about his top scifi movies. Without hesitation he spat them out and in no particular order.

As an afterthought, he added Serenity, but he quickly removed it. Still, if you know Ben, then you know that those characters are close to his heart.

Next I asked him about his favorite scene in those movies. Again, without hesitation, he listed them.

Here's the list in the order he gave them to me--and to be clear--these are in no particular order. He does, however, have them ranked in his mind, but he did not tell me that ranking at the time of this article.

Ben's Top 5 Favorite SciFi Films

Star Trek: Wrath of Khan

Ben adds, “I also love the intense ship fight that’s more like a submarine battle."

Star Wars

“Han Solo at the cell block console. So great.”

Logan's Run

"Fish and sea greens, plankton and protein from the sea."

Ben quotes the movie, "Fish, plankton, sea greens and protein from the sea."

Then he adds, "I watched that every time it aired on a Sunday morning as a kid. Still do. Ask Jenn 😀... Well not Sunday mornings, but my digital copy. It is such good dystopian scifi, early, and solid. It was about their society rather than the flash bang it would be in a remake."

Blade Runner

“The scene where Deckard hunts Zhora, the python lady, is so intense.”

Fury Road

Ben's favorite scene? He couldn’t pick just one.

"The whole darn thing."
