Creative Women Mini-Con (CWMC) will be on a Saturday in October 2025, from 12 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Please read through the event requirements and commit to them using the form on this page. Then please continue the application. Please note: You will need to email 2-3 professional-looking current headshots and 2-3 images of your work or product as part of the application process.

2021 Online Events

  1. Exhibitors will need to use Chrome browser on a laptop or desktop for our livestream. Special software is not required.

  2. Your segment will be 10 minutes. Showcase your work/product. Tell people where to buy online.

  3. Sign in 20 minutes before your time slot. Be prepared to fill in if there is a no-show.

  4. Showcase physical copies of your work/product on camera. Use a clean, orderly background, preferably as if it were an in-person convention.

  5. Promo codes for your online markets are strongly encouraged. For CWMC, please use "CWMC25” as your promo code.

  6. Promote the event before, during, and after. This is an important factor in being invited to future events.

  7. Be responsive to email communications. This is replacing the Facebook Group. We will often ask for confirmation, and if we are not receiving responses, you may lose your spot as an exhibitor. We share critical event information in the group.

  8. Some questions on the application do not apply to this year's event. Please answer them anyway in order to continue the application process.

About Creative Women Mini-Con

We’re excited to help promote local creatives like you. Creative Women Mini-Con (CWMC) is our first major event to return since the pandemic. We’re excited to bring it back.

BENEFITS TO EXHIBITORS

  1. No deposit and no fees of any kind are required in order to participate.

  2. You keep all the money you make from sales at your table.

  3. Make good money. More than one exhibitor has made $600+ from sales.

  4. Lots of foot traffic. The room is set to make it easy for guests to visit each exhibitor's table.

  5. We promote you online and via email before the event.

  6. In the past, typically, between 500-1000 attendees come through the shop during a mini-con.

  7. Press coverage. Among others, Sac News & Review, News 10, Fox 40, Good Day Sacramento, Inside Arden, The Sacramento Bee, bloggers, and podcasters.

THREE REQUIREMENTS

  1. Closely adhere to our exhibiting requirements.

  2. Promote the event and each other like crazy.

  3. Be responsive to email communications. We will often ask for confirmation, and if we are not receiving responses, you may lose your spot as an exhibitor.

Minimum Standards

Please confirm your adherence to the following three commitments.

NOTE: We keep track of whether or not you stick to these commitments. If you commit, but then don't stick to the commitment, we move you to the bottom of the list for future events. Here’s why it matters:

  1. SCHEDULING: Leaving before your committed time makes the event look empty. Potential fans may think it’s ending when it’s not. This negatively effects the reputation of the shop and every single one of your fellow exhibitors.

  2. SETUP: When tables are not set up on time, it can effect PRESS COVERAGE negatively. The media wants their broadcast to look amazing. You and your setup table are an amazing sight. When it's not setup, they are not amazed and may decide to cover something else, not you.

  3. PROMOTION: When promotion takes place infrequently, attendance drops, new attendees may not hear about the event, and a depressed event takes place. That negatively effects your sales. Whether you have 20 followers or thousands, when you promote regularly, the event is more likely to be amazing for everyone.

In-Store Exhibiting Standards

  • Exhibitors receive one chair and one space for exhibiting your work. You will get approximately 3', that is, half of a 6’ table.

  • If your exhibit requires a power outlet, notify Ben fifteen days before the event. Available first-come, first-served.

  • Only one person may be at your space, excluding a substitute when/if you take a break.

  • To maximize sales and exposure, limit relatives and friends from hanging out at your booth, on either side of the table.

  • Bring anything you might need as Empire's will be too busy to help, e.g., change, stands, tape, pens, square, food and drink, etc.

  • Please do not give out candy or food.

  • Table top displays are great as long as it does not interfere with your neighbor. There is NO space to exhibit behind the table. Hanging off front of table is ok.

  • Store personal items in the back room. Please keep storage at table to a minimum to avoid theft or inconveniencing your customers and fellow exhibitors.

  • No gum chewing, please.

    CHECKING OUT FROM THE EVENT

  • CWMC: Exhibitors must exhibit until 5 p.m.

  • WARNING: Exhibitors who leave before those times may not be invited to future events.

  • 1. Please complete the post-event feedback survey before you leave the event. Submit it before you leave. It’s available online.

  • 2. Then, please text Ben when you leave so that he knows your spot will be empty.
