Comics to Read After Watching The Batman 2022

Cody Stark and I talked about The Batman. Briefly, here’s what I said. For the more entertaining version, however, you’ll want to watch the brief video below.

This is a three hour movie, but it's one of those movies where it does not feel like three hours. They've taken a completely different direction with The Batman.

They've always kind of touched on the detective stuff, but this one really pulls you in and gets you going with the intrigue of the crime.

After watching the movie, if you need more Batman in your life, here's a list of classic titles you don't want to miss out on:

Batman: Year One is where you find out his origins. It's absolutely wonderful. That is what you're gonna want to read right off the bat.

But what I'm gonna recommend next is Snyder and Capullo's run that redefined Batman about a decade ago and introduced some villains—the Court of Owls, in particular—that I think should be in the next film. They've done an animated film on it. We need to see this on the silver screen.

Another Frank Miller book is on the list: The Dark Knight Returns. It features an older Batman, like we saw with Ben Affleck as Batman.

Of course, you don't want to forget the cast of the movie. Batman Detective Comics features many of them.

Batman and Catwoman have their own comic, too. If you only want Selina, just go straight to the Catwoman comic book.

Just to round things out, be sure that Batman: The Long Halloween is on your list.

If you want any other recommendations, just ask.
