Top Four Comics for March 9 2022

This week's top 3 is a TOP 4! You can read about it here or watch the 5-minute video below.

On most Tuesdays at about 4/4:15 p.m. Pacific, I go live on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter with a 4-5 minute video of the week’s new comic book highlights.

Top 4 Comics This Week

1. Naomi is back. Bendis is of course writing it there's a hit TV show right now. Her first miniseries was great. She has been in the Justice League, I guess, ever since Bendis took over. Now she's got her own mini series back.

2. Kate Bishop: Hawkeye. Kate Bishop's show on Disney+ was great last year. I love anything that has Kate Bishop in it.

3. X-Men Legends' Claremont is back. Legends features short stories about past X-Men eras. Each story spans about three or four issues.

4. Justice League vs. The Legion of Super-Heroes. It's this team up that inspired this week's hot sauce pairing.

The Hot Sauce Pairing of the Week

I'm pairing two sauces that I like to mix to create my own flavor profile--local Maxine’s Super Salsa with a little bit of Floyd and Fred's Hot Lime. It gives it a little spiciness with a hint of lime flavor.

My New Kids’ Book

In other news, I'm excited to share my very first children's book, Pug Day With Rolly Polly & Captain Dylan. It's available this week. It's about Rolly and Dylan and their day, from the moment they wake up till the moment they go home. You get to see what they do at the store.

It's drawn by local artist Davey Turner, who you guys will probably know. You can find him up on Instagram.

This Week’s New Book Highlights

Crowded is now in trade paperback. This is the only way to get the conclusion of the storyline. Wynd, Tynian's young adult fantasy book is out in a trade paperback format.

Marvel is slowly bringing all of their Epic Collections back. We're bringing them in as they come out. So check the trade walls for any of those that you've been missing, or you've been wanting to read because they're coming back.

The new Fantastic Four is out as well in trade format. King of Spies by Mark Miller.

Red Room is finally back. I've been getting questions about this month after month.

The Good Asian, Lady Mechanika, and Draculina are out this week.

The Cimmerian--we get an adult version of Conan the Barbarian. From Image Comics, Monkey Meat is out. Han Solo and Chewbacca have their own mini. The Crimson Reign features Kira (from the Han Solo movie) making a major move in the criminal empire.

Women of Marvel gets a special. They've been doing a lot of these with the Marvel Voices. Eternals is back with Gillen.

Aaron on Punisher. I don't know why this wasn't in the top three, but it's probably gonna be the first thing I read tonight.

Captain Carter has her own series. I'm really excited for that. Devil's Reign continues this week with Moon Knight. Superior Four.

The current run of Amazing Spider-Man will conclude soon, and we're going to get a John Romita and Al Ewing run on Amazing Spider-Man. Venom has been really good too. Gwen is back with Gwen-Verse.

We have the X Deaths and the X Lives of Wolverine out this week. Sabertooth continues. We're going to find out what's been happening to him after the Quiet Council sequestered him in the center of the earth and how he's going to be breaking out.

Batgirls is out. In Detective Comics we're still dealing with the Arkham Asylum escape and things there just seem to get worse and worse. Batman Urban Legends has a bunch of short stories you'll enjoy. The last issue of Nubia is out this week, but that's alright because we have the first issue of Trial of the Amazons and Superman vs. Lobo.
