Internet Darlings Power Girl and Huntress at Creative Women Mini-Con

We're excited to announce that Power Girl and Huntress will make a special appearance at our Creative Women Mini-Con. Be sure to get your photo with these young wonders!

Meet "Huntress" Anya and "Power Girl" Stella

In 2012 Anya and Stella entered costume contests and won. Then an artist sketched them in costume and the sketch and photo hit many of the major blogs!

Needless to say, it's a real privilege to have them with us on Saturday. Best of all, they're both avid comic book readers. Be sure to ask them about their favorite reads and heroines. Plus, ask them about their next costumes.

Meet them both at our Creative Women Mini-Con 2013:
Date: Saturday, August 10, 2013
Time: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

The Return of Anya "Huntress" and Stella "Power Girl"

The world just can't seem to get enough of Anya "Huntress" and Stella "Power Girl." You'll recall they entered the Diamond Comics Costume Contest back in October 2012.

Huntress had won a costume contest locally, and Power Girl won the Diamond contest. After that, we just had to throw them a party!

And that was that!

Sacramento Super-Powered Sisters Now Internet Famous

But it wasn't. The internets -- including The Mary Sue, Gail Simone, and Watch TV with Me -- found them.

And that was that!

But not anymore. Boing Boing covered artist Alex Law's rendition of the girls and their costumes that he posted on his Tumblr blog. It appears to have made its way to CinemaBlend.com, and from there, to The Huffington Post, and finally to the known world!

Girls read comic books too. We're over-our-heads excited that these photos are making the rounds on comic reader's blogs and tumble blogs, including the following notables:

And you know what! They deserve it. They both love comics, and their discerning parents try to expose them to the reading and art contained in comics. One things their parents would appreciate is more comics for children, and especially, comics that portray girls and women in a manner appropriate for their girls to enjoy.

There's certainly a market for those kinds of comic books. Let's see who fills that gap.
