New Writing Group In Sacramento

Every Thursday night from 5-8pm we are offering writers a place to get creative. 

New Sacramento Writers Group

Write your novel or screenplay or short stories or fan fiction or stage play or comic book script or non-fiction book with us! 

Get out of the house and come down for some dedicated, distraction free writing where you can meet other local writers, get inspired and put some valuable words to paper.

What to Expect

We have tables and chairs and outlets available if you prefer to use your laptop. We carry water and sodas in the store. In our shopping center, there is a Pizza Hut, a Mediterranean food restaurant, and an American food restaurant. Feel free to bring some snacks for yourself or to share.

We play a variety of musical genres in the store, so if you're musical palate is finely tuned to your own collection, you may wish to bring headphones.

Write A Novel, Screenplay or Comic This November

All month long, November 2013, we're participating in NaNoWriMo -- National Novel Writing Month. Of course, we realize that you may not want to write a novel but a comic or movie screenplay instead. Write what you want! Every Friday night starting at 5pm.

What is NaNoWriMo?

NaNoWriMo is an annual event that takes place each November with the goal of motivating professional and amateur writers to complete writing 50,000 words of their novel.

Naturally, because the comic book creating and writing community is so important to us, we've expanded to include anyone who wants to join a motivated group of people to write something.

Write With Us Every Friday Night

Come down to Empire's every Friday night, starting at 5pm, in November to meet others who are working hard to write, and put in some serious writing time. This is the 3rd year we have participated in this and it has been a lot of fun. We hope to see you all there.
