It's going to be a great Free Comic Book Day Mini-Con this May 7!

If you're looking for a list of this year's titles, we put together this checklist (download it today) for you. Remember, everyone can take one of each title that he or she wants to read, while supplies last.

Savings Club Members, we sent out your FCBD advanced selection list today. Please check your email for it. Make sure to turn it in by the last Friday of the month. On FCBD, we're opening the doors an hour early (8am) just for you. Then at 9am we'll let in additional visitors. Make sure to use the VIP line.

If you're not a Member and want to sign up, ask about signing up in the shop (you only need to subscribe to one title), HOWEVER, you won't qualify for FCBD Benefits until next year. In the meantime, print this checklist and figure out which titles you want the most (for cover images of this year's titles, visit FreeComicBookDay.com).

NEW IN 2016: In past year's we've invited the community to celebrate the joy of reading comic books all month long. We call Free Comic Book Month (FCBM). THIS YEAR, WE HAVE AN IMPORTANT CHANGE: FCBM will only be for Savings Club Members who are already signed up. Members will be able to show up any Saturday or every Saturday in May to get more free comic books. We'll have more details coming soon.

No matter where you celebrate Free Comic Book Day, this checklist will come in handy.

If you visit Empire's Comics Vault on FCBD, you may have to wait in a long line, HOWEVER we're giving out 20,000 free comic books, so there's bound to be some titles waiting for you!

And if you get here early, then even better for you! Why? Because we permit you to take ONE OF EACH TITLE THAT YOU WILL READ. You read that right.

You can take one of each book that you want. While supplies last, naturally. And you should know: they last a good long time at 20,000.

Where we hide our secrets


Not only that, but we've added a bunch of brand new copies of titles that have been red hot comic books over the last few years. Sorry. It's a secret. BUT you may see something on our Instagram account before FCBD: @EmpiresComics.

OF COURSE, you'll also experience our annual FCBD Mini-Con. We're not sure which is better? Tons of free comic books or our amazing guests. Maybe you can let us know.

Free Comic Book Day is an excellent time to get the kids reading -- and it's just in time for summer reading when kids often fall behind in their reading ability.

Comics combine art with words for the perfect reading experience. In fact, there are some great titles for children this year. Take a look at the checklist of free comic books for your young readers. Download it and bring it with you to make sure you get the titles you want.

FCBD at Empire's Comics Vault in Sacramento

At Empire's you can take one copy of each title that you want to read. Just leave behind the titles you don't want, so that someone else can enjoy them. We're giving out 15,000+ comics this year. That's quite possibly more than any other single shop in Sacramento.

Free Comic Book Day Mini-Con starts at 9:00 am on Saturday, May 3, 2014.

You'll meet the West Coast Avengers, Supreme Pro Wrestling, Sac City Rollers, Darth Vader's 501st Legion, and many local artists, writers and comic book creators.
