Webcomic Creator Miranda Singler at Creative Women Mini-Con 2016

Creative Women Mini-Con 2016 is Saturday, October 1.

We're pleased to welcome a first-time exhibitor, webcomic creator Miranda Singler.

Meet Webcomic Creator Miranda Singler

The mundanity of daily life. It's eccentric characters. Their hidden stories. You'll find it all in Miranda's first webcomic, Sleeping Volcano, debuting at Creative Women Mini-Con 2016.

Growing up on a farm in the Midwest and going off to college to discover life beyond the corn fields exerted a great influence on Miranda.

She’s supported by a community of artists in the Sacramento region (Sacramento Comic Creators Group), and when she’s not thinking about comics, she’s probably gazing at the Sacramento trees, trying not to eat all the cookies, and listening to KDVS.

Miranda works as a web designer. She has created comics for museums and editorial cartoons for The Daily Illini, the independent student newspaper at the University of Illinois.

To learn more about Miranda and her art, please visit her website, Mirmade.net.

Meet all the creative women participating in this year's event.

Doors open for Comic Book Savings Program Members at 10:30 a.m. and to the public at 11 a.m.
