Sketch with Empire's Comics this Inktober

Do you love to draw, but your drawings make your cringe? Me too! But that won’t stop me from practicing every day. 

We’re including Inktober in the #SketchWithEmpires group on Facebook so that we can all encourage each other as we work on our craft. If you’re in the Sacramento area or from here, please join us.

This October we’re inviting the group to participate in Inktober, an annual event based around inking—but it’s ok to just post your art even if it’s not related to Inktober.

The first Inktober took place in 2009. If this is your first one and you want to learn how it works, learn about the prompt list, and learn about tools and drawing tips, then check out the Inktober website.

Inktober runs October 1-31 and it’s a great time to get in the habit of sketching everyday.

While each person in the group shares her or his art in the group, there are also two popular hashtags on Instagram for the October event: #Inktober and #Inktober2020.

If you’d be so kind, please also use #SketchWithEmpires and/or #Inktober2020Sacramento so we can see what others are doing here in town.
