James O'Barr- Most famously known for creating the comic book The Crow, James O'Barr is also an accomplished painter. In The Crow, the protagonist and his fiancée are murdered by a gang of criminals. He then returns from the dead to hunt their killers and extract revenge. The book has sold close to a million copies worldwide. The Crow was adapted into a successful film of the same name in 1994, staring Brandon Lee, son of legendary martial artist Bruce Lee. O'Barr was the second American to be awarded the "Storyteller Award" by the International Comic Festival held annually in Angouleme, France. O'Barr has been working on a fully painted 300 page gothic western graphic novel called "Sundown" for years now, and recently released the first chapter to fans through the digital medium of the iPhone and iPad from publisher and new digital motion comic company Motionworks Entertainment (www.motionworkscomics.com). With Sundown, gear up for violence, tragedy, romance, buckets of bullets and a talking horse. Other comics in which O'Barr has worked on include: Northstar Presents, Calibur Presents, Deadworld, Hard Looks, Slash, Original Sins, Pink Dust: Morphine Dreams, and Razor. Also keep an eye out for the soon to be released The Crow: Author's Edition. It will contain at least 60 pages of new material that no one has ever seen! Mark Bode- Son of the legendary cartoonist Vaughn Bode, Mark Bode is best known or his work on the comic book COBALT 60 and as the creator of the hit comic Miami Mice. His first professional job was for Heavy Metal Magazine when he was asked to color his father's strip Zooks, the First Lizard in Orbit when he was fifteen. His publications also include GYRO COMICS, TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES, GWAR comics and LIZARD of OZ. Mark has exhibited his artwork in art shows around the world. He has worked on designing clothing lines for companies such as Marc Ecko Clothing & Puma International and has designed multiple vinyl toys based on his fathers characters for Kidrobot & Planet 6. He is also a well known graffiti & tattoo artist. Mark signed a deal with Universal pictures for the rights to "COBALT 60" to be produced as a live action movie,  by Zack Snyder of " 300",  "Dawn of the Dead (the remake)", and Sucker Punch fame. Mark is currently working on another chapter in the Cobalt 60 story. These days he calls the Bay Area his home.  www.markbode.com

 
Rafael Navarro- Writer/Artist/Creator of the comic book Sonambulo. It's about an ex-luchador mask wearing detective that steps head on into danger, living in a world where monsters and creatures lurk in the streets and THE DAY of the DEAD can literally become a holiday for those who seek revenge from the grave. Sonambulo cleverly blends elements of Lucha Libre Masked Mexican Wrestlers, Cult/Horror/ B-Movies, Super Heroes and Noir & Pulp Novels. Rafael is winner of the coveted  Xeric Grant  for independent publishing.   Rafael's other contributed comics work includes Hot Mexican Love Comics, Lucha Noir, Mac Afro, Gumby Gang, Bela Lugosi's Tales from the Grave,   and The Kids of Widney High. Rafael is also an Emmy Award-winning storyboard artist and has contributed to several animated television series as Spectacular Spider-Man, Rugrats, The Batman, Scooby Doo, Marvel Super Hero Squad and Mucha Lucha. Emonic- Taking the West Coast by storm, graphic illustrator & painter Emonic has been making waves on the comic convention circuit and art gallery receptions with his high octane fueled live art shows. Emonic (aka Emo Gonzales) has been creating art since he was a child. As a youth he was heavily influenced by skateboarding, comic books, music, movies and graphic design. When working on projects he will often employ a mix of mediums ranging from traditional means (pencil, acrylic and marker) to digital manipulation. He is currently working on a comic book project tittled "Gevaudan" and has a few other comic projects in the works. Emonic hails from the city of Milpitas.  www.emonic.net
Dave Castro- A slum born artist who spent most of his youth viewing society from a local park bench or riverbed. He birthed an eye the size of a pimple on his forehead when he was 8, that allows him to sometimes see the spiritual innards of his fellow man. Most of his works portray them. Armed with only a pen and a wrinkled dollar that fits in no vending machine. He marches on with hope to entertain you. AKA D.Castr, he is the founder of the comic book company Taco Comics as well as the Slum Circus. He has worked with Iota Arcane's Imaginary Slave and has also contributed album cover art for Iota Arcane's Dead Androids.
