About Doris Danger

A sly, loving, and hilarious parody/tribute of late 1950s-era Marvel monster comics (written and drawn as homages to the work of Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko) these 20 stories are accompanied by a subversive commentary about the treatment of comics creators and fans by an exploitive publisher that just doesn't care.

Plus: real illustrations by famous comics artists who wanted in on the fun, including Arthur Adams, Mike Allred, Mark Bod?, Jeffrey Brown, Sal Buscema, Geof Darrow, Colleen Doran, Michael Golden, Gilbert Hernandez, Mario Hernandez, Peter Kuper, Michael Lark, Jae Lee, David Mack, Bill Plimpton, Esad Ribic, Steve Rude, Bill Sienkiewicz, William Stout, Herb Trimpe, and Thomas Yeates.

About Chris Wisnia

Chris is a comics creator and musician living in sunny Davis, California with his long-suffering wife and unruly dogs and sons. His YouTube channel @ChrisWisniaArts interviews the biggest names in the comics industry about struggles they face trying to get into and continue to find work as comics creators. Find out more about Chris and his work at www.ChrisWisniaArts.com/blog.
